Today around 1700 hours the Engine was sent to 4821 Sardis road in 234's first due for a reported chimney fire. 78 Engine would go in service with 6 immediately and get the hydrant assignment from command upon arrival. Attack 234 would take the driveway side delta and send the crew to work, reports from first interior crews were a good fire in the woodburner, Chief Davis(234) would have the truck crew from 233 throw a ground ladder to the Bravo side and check the roof and send a chimney brush down from the roof , Attack 234 crew would contain and extinguish the fire in the basement , as Engine 78's crew would check the attic for extension. Crews would work for close to an hour and go back in service as they picked up. GREAT WORK BY ALL THE UNITS OPERATING! (Pics to follow!)
